Mr. Elie Khoury

Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgeon

Mr. Khoury has been operating in Albury for nearly 20 years and currently operates at Albury Wodonga Private Hospital, Albury Day Surgery and the Albury Wodonga Health - Albury Campus, where he is also the Clinical Director of Orthopaedics; where he is responsible for the running of the unit and training/ education of Resident staff and Orthopaedic Registrars. 

Prior to setting up his practice in Albury, Mr. Khoury trained in Melbourne on the Orthopaedic Training Program. Where he also spent 2 years in Oxford, at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre where he gained his fellowship and furthered his skills specialising in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery and Sports Medicine.

Mr. Khoury is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the Australian Arthoplasty Society, the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Girdlestone Orthopaedic Society, Oxford, UK and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

He is also a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at University of New South Wales. 

Mr. Khoury is also a member of the Australian Academy of Surgical Educators where he participates in various roles such as, teaching the ASSET course. He also holds a committee position on the Standards Australia Committee; advising on technical aspects of Orthopaedic implants. 

Mr. Khoury is an advocate for overall wellbeing as he likes to train and keep fit, believes in the power of a good coffee, a fast car and his beloved Tigers. 

Mr. Khoury is passionate about providing quality medical treatment in our local community; and dedicates much of his time to building his surgical experience and skillset both overseas and locally to maintain best practice & knowledge of medical trends and to keep abreast of new orthopaedic technology. Mr. Khoury is honoured to have such an opportunity to do so; and prioritises the importance of giving back by visiting the Honduras every year as part of the Surgical Outreach Program; as a lead surgeon to assist those living in Third World Countries.
